Volunteers are critical to the success of Super Seminars and volunteering is a wonderful way to give back, meet new people, and catch up with long time friends.
The required dress for the following volunteer positions is as follows: a sports coat, slacks, and tie or suit and tie for men, and tailored pant suit and shirt for women, skirted suit, or business dress.
Volunteers are needed for the following dates/locations. Please click on your desired location to complete and submit a volunteer sign-up form (see below for volunteer descriptions).
Volunteer descriptions are as follows:
PRE-REGISTRATION: Greet attendees and assist CSEA staff and other volunteers by distributing registration packets on Sunday afternoon and/or Monday morning for Las Vegas “A”, and Wednesday afternoon and/or Thursday morning for Las Vegas “B”, and Wednesday afternoon and/or Thursday morning for Reno.
The impact of volunteering for pre-registration is enormous! Our attendee’s Super Seminar journey begins when they pick up their registration packets and what they experience here sets the tone for the next three days. Your help will enable attendees to pick up their materials quickly and efficiently and get them on their way.
Note: If you are the guest of an attendee and would like to volunteer for pre-registration, we’d love to have you!
DAILY ATTENDANCE SHEETS: Assist CSEA staff and other volunteers by distributing daily attendance sheets on Monday, Tuesday, and/or Wednesday morning for Las Vegas “A”, and Thursday, Friday, and/or Saturday for Las Vegas “B”, and Thursday, Friday, and/or Saturday for Reno.
The impact of volunteering to distribute daily attendance sheets is crucial because attendees must pick up their attendance sheets each morning in order to receive continuing education credit for the day. Without volunteers to assist CSEA staff with distribution each morning, lines can get extremely long, causing impatience, which is not an ideal way to begin the day! The more volunteers that we have helping in this area creates good customer service for all attendees (and it gets them to the continental breakfast much, much sooner!)
SPEAKER INTRODUCER/MEETING ROOM MONITOR: Introduce the speaker at the opening of the session (script provided) and assist speaker during the session, if needed. Once the session begins, act as Meeting Room Monitor by taking care of needs as they arise.
The impact of volunteering to introduce our speakers and act as a meeting room monitor is invaluable because you will be the gatekeeper to ensure that CSEA staff is made aware of any issues that may arise (fluctuating meeting room temperatures, audio visual malfunctions, etc.). You will also be the speaker’s “go to” person for anything that he/she needs before, during, and after their session. Having the peace of mind knowing that support is in the meeting room can eliminate a lot of stress for our speakers. Providing a seamless education experience for our attendees is our number one priority!
The following volunteer position may be completed onsite at Supers, or may be completed following the close of Supers and specific guidelines will be provided:
CPE ONLINE TEST WRITERS: Write test questions for specific sessions for which you are registered (no dress requirement if done offsite). Test questions must be written and received by the CSEA office no later than July 1, 2010.
You know better than anyone what your CPE requirements are for any given year and you also know the critical nature of abiding by these requirements. Our online CPE tests provide Members with a quick and easy way to earn their CPE. Without written tests, we cannot offer this amazing benefit, so the impact you will make by volunteering for this position seems obvious!
The following volunteer position will be completed offsite following the close of Supers and specific guidelines will be provided:
CPE ONLINE TEST REVIEWERS: Review completed tests for accuracy (no dress requirement).
Volunteering to review the CPE Online tests that have been written by other volunteers requires a keen attention to detail and it allows you to make a difference in the lives of those seeking to meet their CPE requirements!
Your time and dedication by volunteering to help make Super Seminar 2010 a success is valued and appreciated not only by CSEA staff, but by our speakers and all attendees.
